Hybridizer's Comment: This has been a stunning iris from the first morning we saw it open. Standards are lilac-mauve with a slight shot effect at the midribs of rose. Falls are smooth coffee rose with a slightly lighter area at the beard. Beards are brilliant tango. Falls are wide, ruffled, fluted and overlapping at hafts. Good branching and a good grower. Sweet perfurme. Fertile both ways and a super parent. This comes from nearly 50 years of breeding looking for the elusive pink amoena, a pattern we are looking for that has not appeared as yet, but lovely varieties like Adoree come along and make it all worth while. lntroduced in conjunction with Keith Keppel in USA 2009. Named for my mother Adoree Pernettya Blyth, who is still full of energy at 90.
